What's the deposit?
The deposit is one month's rent and will be refunded at the end of your stay.
How can you get back your deposit?
After the final inspection of your room (on the last day of your stay), we need two documents in order to return your deposit:
- The inspection form (we will receive this from you or your caretaker)
- One of the following forms:
- Quick, easy and free of charge: The deposit can be transferred into a (international) credit card account. This can be your own-, a friends- or parents' account. Fill in the Deposit Return / Credit Card form if you choose this option.
- Dutch bank account (no fee): The deposit can be transferred into your Dutch bank account or a friends' Dutch bank account (no fee). Fill in the Deposit return / Dutch bank account form if you choose this option.
- Cash (no fee): If you like to receive your deposit in cash, you need to come to our office with the inspection form that you will receive from your caretaker at the end of your room inspection and bring your passport. The Shortstay department will print you a note which you can take to the GWK/Travelex Agency at Central Station. They will refund your deposit in cash.
- Foreign bank (€50,00 fee): If you like to receive the deposit into your foreign bank account fill in the Deposit return / foreign bank account form. Please note that by choosing this option we will charge you €50,- admin fee.
Please note
De Key shall repay the deposit to lessee in Euro's, in cash, through GWK/Travelex, or by bank transfer, minus the costs owed by lessee to De Key, no more than three months after the lease agreement has expired and lessee has vacated the rented accommodation in accordance with article 6 and the house regulations.
No interest shall be paid on the deposit.
