Laundry

The washing facilities are on the 3rd floor next to the elevator. You can use these machines until 22:00 p.m. There is another washing facility on the right side of the storeroom for bicycles. These machines you can use 24 hours a day.

Garbage

There are underground garbage containers outside the building. Paper and glass must be seperated from other refuge.

There is a storage for bicycles at the ground floor. Please make sure that you always close the door when you leave.

Bos en Lommer - Jacob van Arteveldestraat The Foyer Bos en Lommer is situated in the Western part of Amsterdam and became an independent district in 1990. The surface covers 2,71 km² and in 2003 Bos en Lommer inhabited around 31.000 people. The name Bos en Lommer was borrowed from a petty bourgeois residence demolished in the year 1940. It is scheduled for urban renewal to increase high-income inhabitants. Famous buildings in the Bos en Lommer are the Pniëlkerk, known as: Theelichtje (tea light), the Opstandingskerk, alias the Kolenkit and the GAK-building better known as the Aquarium.

The area is bordered by the Haarlemmerweg in the North and the Jan van Galenstraat in the South. In the East Bos en Lommer is bounded by the area of the Centrale Markthallen (Central Markethalls) and in the West by the Ringspoorbaan. The Einsteinweg, a part of the ring highway A10, divides the Bos en Lommer quarter.

In the Bos en Lommer area you can find the Erasmuspark, invested in 1960 and reconstructed in the year 1990.The Bos en Lommer quarter is easy to reach, no matter if you arrive via car (A10 West), bicycle or public transport. You can take the tram line 7, 12 and 14 as well as the metro, arriving at the metro station Bos en Lommerweg/De Vlugtlaan.

Also the village Sloterdijk belongs to the Bos en Lommer quarter. The ErasmusparkThe Erasmuspark is a spot for everyone, young and old, situated in the Amsterdam West district. If you want to walk, have a picnic, play soccer, enjoy the sun or just go jogging, the Erasmuspark is definitely one of the best solutions.

Since 1990 it belongs to the district Bos en Lommer, which is by far the greenest district of Amsterdam. The Erasmuspark is situated at the Jan van Galenstraat, between the Admiralengracht and the Mercatorstraat.

The park is in use the entire year. With the construction of the public gardens a connection was created between the diverse recreation areas such as the Erasmuspark and the national gardens - and sport complexes. Many green areas you can find along the open territories of schools and playgrounds.

Such as all parks also the Erasmuspark has rules:The playgrounds and children play areas are prohibited for dogs. Dogs need to be leashed within the park! In the summer time the park is supervised 24/7. In the evening the park gets closed at 11pm and opened at 8am in the morning.All trees that occur in tree horoscope can be found in the Erasmuspark. At the trees little tags are placed concerning information about the tree itself and its meaning in the horoscope.Initially the park was constructed in a simple way by using simple resources. Just after 2000 a large overhaul was carried out, resulting in a beautiful and full-fledged town park.

The park was named after the famous Dutch humanist Desiderius Erasmus (1467-1536) in the year 1939.
