Your Caretaker is Lucia Wesselingh. Her task is to manage the complex. You can ask her for help or advise concerning cleaning, repairs, service, safety and well being.

Meer en Vaart 368A (near the day care centre).
Tuesday and Thursday between 09:00 and 10:00 o 'clock.

Please note that contacting an external company ouitside office hours is on your own expense

Internet, Television and Phone

Internet

You have a wired glass fibre connection with an average speed of 10 MB/s. In order to connect to the internet, you have to put the cable (patch not crossed) in the wall-outlet found in the room. You don't need a username or password.

Note! De Key/Short Stay Facilities advises you to use a surge protector for all sensitive electrical devices. De Key/Short Stay Facilities cannot be held responsible for damages to any equipment due to voltage spikes.

Television

There is an active cable connection in the room. There is a television is the communual kitchen, where you can watch t.v. with your fellow tenants. If you want to watch television in your own room, you have to buy a t.v. your self.

Phone

There is no active phone line or possibility for a fixed phone line available.

Neighbourhood

Osdorp (Oxen Village)

Osdorp has about 45.000 inhabitants with the half of them being Dutch and 10 % expatriats or western foreigners. Osdorp is situated in Amsterdam West, located along the lake Sloterplas. One can get there fast by taking tram line 1.
Recently it gained popularity because of the Bunker, which is the best guarded court in Holland where big criminals go on trial. Another well known building is the Meervaart Theatre, situated in the centre of Osdorp along the Sloterplas (Sloter lake).
Osdorp is easy to reach by car, tram and bus. Parking your car is free and should not be considered as a problem.

Where to put your bicycle?

There is a storage outside the building Meer en Vaart. Please store your bicycle in this box. It is not allowed to store your bicycle in the hallway, your room or anywhere else in the building.
