Arrival by plane
Connexxion
The Connexxion Amsterdam Tourist Ticket costs € 10,- round trip. The bus takes only 30 minutes from Schiphol Plaza to the centre of Amsterdam (Leidseplein). There are 6 to 8 buses each hour. Return journeys do not have to take place on the same day.
Taxi
The taxi rank is located at the airport's exit. Depending on traffic, a taxi can take you to the city centre in half an hour. One ride will cost you approximately 40 euros. It is strongly advised not to take rides from drivers soliciting within the airport. These are not officially approved taxi drivers.

Hotel shuttles
A hotel shuttle service enables you to travel to a number of large hotels that are situated in the airport area. The Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle connects Schiphol to over a hundred hotels in Amsterdam.
Train
‘Schiphol' train station is located directly underneath the airport. From here, intercities and slower trains from the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways - NS) can take you to Amsterdam Central Station (city centre), Amsterdam Zuid-WTC (World Trade Center) and Amsterdam RAI (Exhibition and Conference Centre RAI). These stations are a maximum of 25 minutes away.

Ticket sales
Train tickets are available at the ticket office in the airport's main hall and yellow ticket machines. The latter are located near the baggage claims, shopping centre Schiphol Plaza and near the platforms. These machines accept Dutch cash cards, and some also accept coins, but not credit cards.
Frequency trains
During the daytime, an average of five trains an hour run from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central Station. At night, you can use the late-night routes. From 1 am to 5 pm, the night train runs once an hour from Utrecht CS to Amsterdam CS - Schiphol - Leiden CS - The Hague CS - Delft and Rotterdam CS and back, not stopping at smaller stations in between.

(Partially -)disabled assistance
There is an elevator at Schiphol train station which can take you from the platform to the airport and vice versa. Call the Nederlandse Spoorwegen for help at the train station of your departure and arrival, telephone number +31 (0)30 230 5566. By doing so, it is possible to gain wheelchair access to trains.

Regional airports
Many smaller airlines also fly to regional airports such as Rotterdam or Eindhoven, or airports near the Dutch border. From these, you can travel via public transport or taxi to Amsterdam. To travel to and from Eindhoven airport to Amsterdam you can use the Air Express Bus.

- Take bus 22 (direction of Indische Buurt) which stops in front of the Barbizon Hotel on the opposite of the road in front of the Central Station
or
- Take bus 43 (in the direction of Borneo eiland) which stops on the left of the main entrance of the station
